SOCAP17: Dutch Social Impact Mission to Bay Area

This week Energy Floors CEO Michel Smit will visit the San Francisco Bay Area for SOCAP17. Michel joins the first Dutch Innovation Mission for Social Entrepreneurs to showcase our Smart Energy Floor business case. The SOCAP conference is the world’s largest gathering of impact investors and social entrepreneurs.

Presenting the Smart Energy Floor business case

At SOCAP Michel will present our new Smart Energy Floor. This floor engages steady pedestrian flows in the built environment in generating sustainable energy. It’s a tool to visualize CSR programs, save energy and contribute to the worldwide energy transition. A walkable solar top sheet increases the energy output. These top sheets have an efficiency rating of two-third of regular solar panels. The floor captures data in urban environments and – with its interactive LED lighting – facilitates serious gaming at playgrounds.

Accelerate social impact worldwide

Goal of the Social Entrepreneurs Innovation Mission is to connect the Dutch social enterprise ecosystem to international players and accelerate massive social impact worldwide. The Netherlands aims to create valuable new connections to further scale up the global social economy, and make a significant contribution to driving sustainable and inclusive growth worldwide.
